Our enterprise customers already have great developers and designers on staff but they have little or no experience architecting, designing or developing workflow applications using Microsoft portal technology. We provide a suite of services to help you develop your team, including:
Portal Application Design and Development with SharePoint 2007
With the release of Windows SharePoint Services 3.0 and Office SharePoint Server 2007, the platform for building Composable Systems is finally in place! We help companies design, develop and deploy rich Portal Solutions using the right set of technologies from the SharePoint family. But SharePoint is much more than just a portal technology. You can build solutions that include:
- Enterprise Content Management
- Business Systems using Forms and Workflow
- Document Management Solutions (including scanning and records management)
- Data collection and analysis using Business Intelligence and Server-based Excel tools
CSI was involved with these technologies well before their public release. Our staff was active in Microsoft early adopter and rapid deployment programs for Windows Workflow Foundation, Office SharePoint Server 2007, Office 2007 client technologies and many of the toolkits and add-on applications released for this platform.
Architecture Design Sessions
One or two day envisioning engagements that result in an overall architecture plan for your composable systems platform.
Proof of Concept Engagements
During these three to ten day engagements we work side-by-side with your architects and senior developers to help you confirm that the concepts and ideas that you envisioned for your composable systems platform will work in your existing environment. These risk mitigation exercises help you minimize the occurence of project failure by identifying and eliminating risks before the project proceeds.
Prototype Engagements
These one to eight week engagements are designed to take major elements of your composable systems platform and develop an initial version. Working with your architects and developers, we will use these engagements as "on the job training" for your team.
Project Solutions Architect Role
Once the project plan has been developed, most customers engage us to work with them for the duration of a project in a Solutions Architect role. We ask customers to identify their own internal resource with whom we collaborate on a regular basis. The goal of this engagement is to transfer the knowledge and process for composable system development to the company's internal solutions architects.
